BIR Collection for September 2012 Grew by P4.49 Billion

For the month of September 2012, the BIR collected Php 71.04 billion in tax revenues, Php 4.49 Billion or 6.75% more than collections made in September of 2011.  For the period January to September 2012, the BIR collected Php 772.47 Billion in tax revenues, Php 86.21 Billion or 12.56% more than collections made for the period January to September of 2011.

TINs acquired thru BIR Form 1904 most often used when one needs to transact with a government agency or perhaps a banking institution who usually requires a TIN.

BIR Collection for August 2012 Grew by 10.04%

BIR Collection is moving steadily

For the month of August 2012, the BIR collected Php 96.76 billion in tax revenues, Php 8.83 Billion or 10.04% more than collections made in August of 2011.  For the period January to August 2012, the BIR collected Php 701.43 Billion in tax revenues, Php 81.72 Billion or 13.19% more than collections made for the period January to August of 2011.

Why am I required to submit a 2316 and 1902 by my employer?

If you already have a TIN & do not have a copy of your 1902 application,
provide a copy of your TIN card instead

WHAT IS BIR FORM 2316:

The 2316 is "Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld". It is a certificate issued by ones employer for taxes that they are required to withheld every month. Which they should file and remit each month.

Problem with going AWOL

Avoid future problem of going AWOL. File your letter of resignation.
Remember you need that 2316 Certificate as proof of your tax payments.
Which is likely required by your new employer.

If you went AWOL, now that won't look good with your new employer or any employer for that matter. And your now in a dilemma as your new employer would require you to submit this 2316. This has been ask to me so many times. The problem arises when you pointed out in your interview that you were employed before and naturally you would also be asked how long you were with your previous employer.

Extension of the August 10, 2012 Deadline to August 13th

Jacinto-Henares announced today thru Revenue Memorandum Circular 41-2012 that due to continuing bad weather condition, the August 10, 2012 deadline for the e-filing / filing and e-payment/ remittance thru BIR forms 1600; 1606; 1601C and 1602; 1601E and 1601F; and 2200M is hereby moved to August 13, 2012 for the following AFFECTED Revenue District Offices (RDOs), including affected Authorized Agent Banks:

BIR Tax Collection in four months run

For the first four months of 2012 the BIR has made significant excess against previous 2011 collection. Focusing on tax compliance may be one of the main factors that will help in its attainment of its goal. As it hopes the economic conditions will improve and help increase tax collection.

In the face of the many crisis our country is facing, we hope the BIR will continue to put in its best efforts to help our country in its development.
