BIR Collection for September 2012 Grew by P4.49 Billion

For the month of September 2012, the BIR collected Php 71.04 billion in tax revenues, Php 4.49 Billion or 6.75% more than collections made in September of 2011.  For the period January to September 2012, the BIR collected Php 772.47 Billion in tax revenues, Php 86.21 Billion or 12.56% more than collections made for the period January to September of 2011.

For the first four months of 2012 the BIR has made significant excess against previous 2011 collection. Focusing on tax compliance may be one of the main factors that will help in its attainment of its goal. As it hopes the economic conditions will improve and help increase tax collection.

In the face of the many crisis our country is facing, we hope the BIR will continue to put in its best efforts to help our country in its development.

BIR Missed Jan-Feb Target by 0.76%

Cumulative collections by the Bureau of Internal Revenue from January and February 2011 have reached a total Php127.99 billion. Compared to its cumulative target of Php128.97 billion, actual collections of the BIR are behind by Php981 million or by only negative 0.76%.
