BIR runs after Urdaneta City telecommunications trader for tax evasion

Near or far the BIR will run after tax evaders

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed today with the Department of Justice a complaint for tax evasion against a telecommunications trader for willful attempt to evade paying the correct tax, deliberate failure to file Income and Value Added  Tax Returns for taxable years 2007 and 2008, and failure to register as VAT taxpayer in violation of Sections 254, 255 and 275, in relation to Section 236 (G) (1) of the Tax Code, as amended.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) today filed with the Department of Justice two (2) more cases of tax evasion against two board of trustees of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), ESPERANZA S. OCAMPO (Ocampo) and MARIO L. RAMIREZ (Ramirez), for violations of Sections 254 and 255 of the Tax Code of 1997, as amended.

BIR Exceeds Tax Collection for March 2011

The Bureau of Internal Revenue collected a total of Php71.56 billion in tax revenues for the month of March 2011. This exceeds its target for the month, placed at Php68.07 billion, by Php3.5 billion or by about 5.13%.

BSP gold trade mine, sues 3 more traders for 5.9 B tax evasion

Gold Traders who made billions of sales transactions where the sum of taxes was as just too enormous to be ignored by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Today the BIR filed with the Department of Justice (DOJ) separate complaints against three (3) more gold traders – AURELIO S. BARING (Baring), REX CHUA CO HO (Co Ho) and REMEGIO B. DESCALSOTA, JR. (Descalsota, Jr.) - for committing acts constituting violations of Sections 254 and 255 of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended.
